Ovulation Calendar Main WindowThe Main Window
This picture shows the main window of Ovulation Calendar. When minimized, Ovulation Calendar sits in the system tray (near the clock), and the main window is not visible. To display the main window, double-click the Ovulation Calendar tray icon. See Help! I Cannot Find the Program! for more information. My Menstrual Cycle
This area shows the information describing your monthly menstrual cycle: the first day of your last menstrual period, the length of your cycle, and the length of your luteal phase. Ovulation Calendar uses this information to calculate your fertile periods. To enter or edit the menstrual cycle information, click the Edit button, which is located in this area. See Editing Menstrual Cycle Data for more information. Important: To ensure that Ovulation Calendar calculates your fertility correctly, you should keep the menstrual cycle information up-to-date. See Keeping the Calendar Accurate for more information. My Goal
This area lets you choose your goal: Avoid pregnancy, Conceive a baby of any gender, Conceive a boy, or Conceive a girl. Depending on your goal, Ovulation Calendar calculates the days that are favorable for conceiving a baby of the desired gender, or the days to avoid for an unwanted pregnancy. The results of this calculation are displayed in the calendar area as heart symbols (for the favorable days) or as stop signs (for the 'unsafe' days). Note: The last two options (Conceive a girl and Conceive a boy) are available only in the full
version of Ovulation Calendar.See How to Get the Full Version for more information. Popular Help Topics
This area contains links to medical articles about ovulation, pregnancy, and contraception. See Ovulation Basics, Ovulation and Pregnancy, and Ovulation and Contraception for more information. Calendar
This is the most important area of the main window — it shows your personal fertility calendar. The program generates this calendar based on your menstrual cycle data. The fertile days are shown in green, the 'clear' (non-fertile) days are shown in white, and the days of menstruation flow are marked in red. The most fertile day is the day of ovulation. It is marked with a light green circle on a dark green background. Some of the days may be shown with a heart symbol or a stop sign. The heart symbol indicates the days that are favorable for conceiving a baby of the desired gender and the stop sign shows that you should abstain from intercourse on that day. Note: When you run Ovulation Calendar for the first time, the calendar is disabled. You must enter your menstrual cycle data to activate it. See Editing Menstrual Cycle Data for more information. Legend
This area describes the color codes and symbols that appear in the calendar. Daily Comments
The comments area shows medical recommendations for a given date. When you click on a day in the calendar area, Ovulation Calendar shows medical comments and recommendations for that day, for example 'You are ovulating and are most fertile today'. Ovulation Calendar generates these comments based on your current fertility level, your goal (conception or contraception), and the desired gender of your future baby. These comments may also include the estimated due date of your baby, and his zodiac sign. Note: the trial version of Ovulation Calendar shows Buy Now reminders in the Comments area. These are removed when you buy the full version of Ovulation Calendar.See How to Get the Full Version for more information. Buttons Help – Shows this help file
